ASTM美國材料實驗協會金屬疲勞與斷裂測試標準

  19世紀80年代,為解決采購商與供貨商在購銷工業材料過程中產生的意見和分歧,有人提出建立技術委員會制度,由技術委員會組織各方面的代表參加技術座談會,討論解決有關材料規范、試驗程序等方面的爭議問題。所以就有了ASTM美國材料實驗協會(American Society of Testing Materials )前身是材料試驗協會(International Association for Testing Materials, IATM)。
